Yatri Sathi App: Drivers Hope for a Safer Future
Kolkata (August 21,2023) : A meeting was held on Monday between the West Bengal government's IT department and representatives of taxi and app-cab drivers' organizations to discuss the Yatri Sathi app. The app is designed to provide a safe and reliable transportation option for passengers, but drivers have raised concerns about its implementation.
One of the main concerns is that the app does not include all of the issues that drivers face. For example, drivers want the app to include a mechanism for reporting passengers who misbehave or refuse to pay the fare. They also want the app to allow them to rate passengers, so that they can avoid picking up troublemakers in the future.
The IT department has assured the drivers that their concerns will be addressed. They have also promised to make the app more user-friendly and accessible to all drivers.
