Tribute by Mamata Banerjee on the Death Anniversary of Loknath Baba
IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Kolkata, June 3: The death anniversary of Loknath Baba, tributes and salutations were offered by Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee. On Wednesday, she expressed her respect through a post on her Facebook page.
In her message, she wrote: “On the death anniversary of Loknath Baba, I offer my humble respect and salutations.”
Loknath Brahmachari was a Hindu mystic saint of the 18th and 19th centuries. He is highly revered among followers of Hinduism. Before attaining samadhi, he is believed to have lived at the Baradi Ashram in Sonargaon, Narayanganj district, in present-day Bangladesh. The Baba Loknath Brahmachari Ashram located in Baradi, Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj district, is considered an important Hindu pilgrimage site.
