
IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Kolkata, June 18: Trinamool Congress treasurer Arup Biswas has sent a letter requesting the freezing of the party’s bank accounts.
Citing internal leadership disputes and the alleged risk of misuse of signed cheques, TMC leader Arup Biswas has requested HDFC Bank to temporarily suspend the party’s bank accounts. In his letter, he urged that the accounts remain on “status quo” until the issue is resolved by a competent authority.
Arup Biswas wrote to HDFC Bank seeking the freezing of Trinamool Congress bank accounts. The letter was addressed to the Central Plaza branch of HDFC Bank. He has requested that all financial transactions in the party accounts be stopped until further notice.
