IIE DIGITAL DESK : Abhishek Banerjee's highly anticipated crime thriller, Stolen, is set to make its digital debut on June 4, 2025, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The film, directed by Karan Tejpal in his feature debut, has garnered international acclaim, including a standing ovation at the 2023 Venice Film Festival, and is now poised to captivate audiences worldwide. 

Stolen follows the harrowing journey of two brothers from an urban background who witness the abduction of a baby from a destitute mother at a rural railway station. One brother, driven by a sense of moral duty, persuades the other to assist the mother in locating her child. This decision plunges them into a perilous investigation that challenges their perceptions of justice and humanity. 

The film boasts a stellar cast, with Abhishek Banerjee leading the ensemble, supported by Harish Khanna, Mia Maelzer, Sahidur Rahaman, and Shubham Vardhan. The screenplay, co-written by Karan Tejpal, Gaurav Dhingra, and Swapnil Salkar (Agadbumb), delves into themes of social injustice, trauma, and the resilience of the human spirit.

Before its OTT release, Stolen had a remarkable festival run, earning accolades at prestigious events. At the Beijing International Film Festival, it secured awards for Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Cinematography. The film also clinched Best Film and Best Director honors at Japan’s Skip City International D-Cinema Festival and received a Special Mention at the Zurich Film Festival. In India, it premiered at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival and was showcased at the 28th International Film Festival of Kerala.
