IIE DIGITAL: The war of words between BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut and Saurav Das, spokesperson for the ‘Cockroach’ group, has intensified over the ongoing NEET controversy and the role of Gen Z in the protests.
The exchange began after Kangana accused the younger generation of being used to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Saurav hit back, questioning her influence among young people and claiming that even members of her own party do not take her statements seriously.
Kangana has now launched a fresh attack, calling Saurav “inefficient” and “jobless”. Sharing a video, she questioned his claim of being a student and pointed out that she had already won two National Awards by the time she was his age.
Defending her own record, Kangana said that although she has been in politics for only two years, she has spent two decades in public life. She also highlighted her work as an actor, filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and entrepreneur before taking another swipe at Saurav over his comments.
The BJP MP further advised him to develop expertise in a field before deciding his future path.
Saurav had earlier criticised Kangana over her remarks about the responsibilities of an MP. He argued that her comments reflected a lack of understanding of her own responsibilities and said Gen Z has contributed significantly to the country and played an important role in restoring public faith in democracy.
