IIE DIGITAL: A social media post claiming that actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to appoint her as the next Education Minister has sparked widespread discussion online. However, the viral claim has been found to be completely false.

The misleading post surfaced soon after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his position following nationwide protests over the NEET question paper leak controversy. Taking advantage of the ongoing debate, a fake post was circulated in Kangana’s name, suggesting that she had expressed her desire to take charge of the Education Ministry.

The viral message falsely claimed that Kangana had appealed to Prime Minister Modi to make her the Education Minister, stating that she understood the importance of education because she was the first person to announce that India gained independence in 2014. The post also included several sarcastic claims, including an alleged plan for NEET aspirants where students watching Kangana’s films in theatres would receive extra marks and that the move would help end the streak of her unsuccessful films.

However, fact-checking revealed that the circulating image was not genuine. Kangana Ranaut has not shared any such statement on her official social media platforms. The fake post appears to have been designed by imitating her writing style and has been identified as artificially created content, possibly generated using AI tools.

No official reaction has been issued by Kangana regarding the viral claim so far. The fabricated post gained attention mainly because of the timing, as discussions around the Education Ministry intensified after Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.
