IIE DIGITAL DESK ; July 25: The resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following the ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest has received reactions from several celebrities, with actors Prakash Raj, Priyanka Chopra and Vijay Varma expressing support for the young protesters. The celebrities congratulated the Gen-Z-led movement and highlighted the role of students and young people in raising their voices over education-related concerns. 

Actor Prakash Raj, who had earlier shown support for the CJP agitation, celebrated the development after Dharmendra Pradhan announced his resignation. Sharing a picture with CJP founder Abhijit Dipke from the protest site, Prakash Raj congratulated those who participated in the movement and appreciated the efforts of people who stood with the youth. 

Social media post, Prakash Raj referred to the protesters as “cockroaches” in a symbolic manner and said that the movement had demonstrated the power of collective voices. He also mentioned environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk and thanked everyone who supported the youth-led campaign. 

Prakash Raj had previously joined the CJP protest in New Delhi and extended solidarity with students demanding action over alleged irregularities related to examinations and the education system. His participation had drawn attention as several public figures began expressing support for the protesters. 

Meanwhile, global star Priyanka Chopra also reacted to the development and praised the Gen-Z movement. She shared a post on her Instagram Story highlighting the student protest and Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. Through emojis and reactions, she expressed appreciation for the determination shown by the younger generation during the agitation. 

Actor Vijay Varma also joined the wave of reactions by sharing a picture of Dharmendra Pradhan on his Instagram Story. His post included a farewell-style message, followed by a comment expressing happiness over the development and addressing Sonam Wangchuk. 

The CJP protest had gained momentum over demands related to alleged NEET paper leak issues and concerns regarding the education system. The movement, largely driven by young protesters, continued for several days at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and attracted support from various sections of society.

The resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan became a major turning point for the protesters, who described it as a victory for their campaign. CJP leaders and supporters celebrated the development, while maintaining that other demands raised during the agitation still needed to be addressed.
