IIE Digital Desk : The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's upcoming film Satyaprem Ki Katha with a U/A certificate. However, the board has asked the makers to censor some slang words from the film.

The CBFC has allowed the use of the word "Ghapa Ghap" in Sanju, which was also censored in Jogira Sara Ra Ra. However, the board has asked the makers of Satyaprem Ki Katha to replace the words "Cheliyaan" and "Ek shot" with "Saheliyaan" and "Ek baar" respectively. The CBFC has also asked the makers to remove a few visuals from the film, including a scene where a character is shown smoking a cigarette.

The makers of Satyaprem Ki Katha have agreed to the CBFC's demands and have already made the necessary changes to the film. The film is slated to release on June 29, 2023.
