IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi, May 30: Capital markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has imposed a penalty of nearly ₹29 crore on Suzlon Energy and its top executives after finding alleged misstatements in the company’s financial reporting over multiple years.

The regulatory order, SEBI held that Suzlon, along with its chairman and managing director Vinod Tanti and other senior officials, was responsible for misrepresenting financial statements and misleading investors.
