Adani Cement's Acquisition of Sanghi Industries to Create Cement Behemoth

IIE Digital Desk : Adani Group's flagship cement company, Ambuja Cement, has acquired Sanghi Industries in a deal worth Rs 4,200 crore. The acquisition will help Ambuja Cement to become the second-largest cement producer in India, with a capacity of 41.5 million tonnes per annum. Sanghi Industries is a leading cement producer in the western region of India, with a capacity of 10.8 million tonnes per annum. The company has a strong brand presence in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa.

The acquisition will help Ambuja Cement to expand its reach in these regions and to become a more competitive player in the Indian cement market. The deal is also in line with Adani Group's strategy of acquiring assets in the infrastructure sector.
