IIE Digital Desk : In Kalna subdivision, vegetables are drying up in the fields as preservation centers remain closed. Established 12 years ago, the center at Kalna's controlled market complex was inaugurated by the Chief Minister but never opened for use. The area, particularly the two blocks in Purbasthali, is a significant vegetable producer. Farmers struggle with low prices and lack of storage, forcing them to discard surplus produce. The administration is investigating the center's status and considering opening additional facilities.
