Bhangar (July 12,2023) : A worker of the Indian Secular Front (ISF) was killed in a clash with police in Bhangar, West Bengal, on Wednesday. The clash reportedly broke out after police tried to stop a rally organized by the ISF.

The ISF worker, identified as Mohammad Ali, was shot in the head during the clash. He was rushed to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. The police have denied that they opened fire on the ISF workers. They say that the clash broke out after the ISF workers started throwing stones at the police. The ISF has alleged that the police deliberately shot and killed Mohammad Ali. They have called for a judicial inquiry into the incident.

The clash in Bhangar is the latest in a series of incidents of political violence in West Bengal. In recent months, there have been clashes between supporters of the ruling Trinamool Congress and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party. The violence has raised concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. The state government has been urged to take steps to prevent further clashes.
