Vi Rs 202 prepaid plan with over 13 OTT subscriptions launched in India: check out the benefits
IIE Digital Desk: Vodafone Idea (Vi) grapples with customer retention in the fiercely competitive telecom sector, prompting the introduction of a novel prepaid recharge scheme priced at Rs 202. Significantly, this plan encompasses more than 13 OTT subscriptions and supplementary perks. Crucially, the offer is exclusively accessible through the mobile app, with no visibility on the official website at present.

The Vi recharge plan, priced at Rs 202, does not specify a service validity.
The new plan aligns its expiration with the end of the existing base plan.
Existing customers must maintain an active base plan to avail themselves of the advantages offered by the new plan.
The plan provides access to several streaming services, including Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLiv, SunNXT, Yupp TV, Shemaroo Me, Hungama, and Discovery for 30 days.
Aside from Vi Movies and TV Pro subscription access, the plan does not include any additional benefits.
The Rs 202 recharge plan is currently visible on the Vi mobile app but is not listed on the official website at the moment.
It is anticipated that the plan will be added to the official website soon.
As per reports, Vi aims to compete with services such as JioTV Premium and Airtel Xstream Play via the introduction of this plan.
According to a September report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio gained the highest number of new customers in July, closely followed by Airtel. However, during the same period, both BSNL and Vi faced challenges and lost customers.
As per the report, Reliance Jio maintained its position as the leading wireless service provider in the country with 442.49 million subscribers, followed by Airtel with 244.41 million users. Vi recorded 124.27 million users, while BSNL had 20.87 million.
