IIE Digital Desk : Virender Sehwag has revealed why he didn't lift Sachin Tendulkar on his shoulders after India's 2011 World Cup win. In an interview with NDTV, Sehwag said that he and Tendulkar were both injured after the match, and he didn't want to put any more strain on Tendulkar's body. "We were both injured," Sehwag said. "I had a shoulder injury and Sachin had a knee injury. I didn't want to put any more strain on his body. So I rejected the idea of lifting him on my shoulders."

Sehwag said that he was happy to see Virat Kohli lift Tendulkar on his shoulders after the match. "Virat was young and energetic," Sehwag said. "He was able to lift Sachin with ease. I was happy to see that." Sehwag's comments have sparked a debate on social media, with some people criticizing him for not lifting Tendulkar on his shoulders. However, Sehwag has defended his decision, saying that he was just looking out for Tendulkar's health.
