IIE DIGITAL DESK ;  June 11: The Junior Cricket Committee on Thursday announced the India Under-19 men’s squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, scheduled to be held from July 4 to July 23. The tour will feature three one-day matches followed by two four-day games as part of a key developmental series for the young Indian side.

Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan has been named captain of the team for both formats, while Raichandani has been appointed vice-captain. The squad selection reflects a strong focus on grooming young talent for future international commitments.

The notable selections is Anvay Dravid, son of former India captain and head coach Rahul Dravid. He has been included in the one-day squad as one of the wicketkeeper options, alongside Rajat Baghel. His inclusion has drawn attention given his cricketing background and development through the domestic junior system.

The three-match ODI series will be played in Hambantota on July 4, 6, and 9. Following the limited-overs matches, the teams will move to Galle and Colombo for the longer format fixtures scheduled to begin on July 13 and July 20 respectively.

India’s Under-19 ODI squad includes Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan (captain), Raichandani (vice-captain), Sagar Virk, Vineeth VK, Arjun Rajput, Kushagra Ojha, Rajat Baghel (wicketkeeper), Anvay Dravid (wicketkeeper), Anmoljeet Singh, and several other promising young players selected as part of the national junior setup.

The multi-day squad also features Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan as captain and Raichandani as vice-captain, along with players such as Sagar Virk, Kushagra Ojha, and others including wicketkeeper options Manav Krishna and Aryan Sandesh Sakpal. The squad also includes Hemchudeshan J, Rohit Patel, Anwar, and Priyanshu Singh among others, forming a balanced group for the longer format.

The tour is seen as an important opportunity for India’s emerging cricketers to gain international exposure, adapt to overseas conditions, and strengthen their case for future senior-level selection.
