Kolkata - In the wake of the devastating landslides in Wayanad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured comprehensive support to the affected regions. West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose announced the Prime Minister's commitment to providing all necessary assistance during a press briefing on Tuesday.

Governor Bose, addressing the media, highlighted the immediate response from the central government. "Prime Minister Modi has expressed deep concern over the tragedy in Wayanad and has assured that every possible measure will be taken to aid in the rescue and relief operations," he stated.

The landslides, triggered by incessant rains, have resulted in significant loss of life and property, displacing numerous families and cutting off essential services. Rescue teams are working tirelessly to reach those stranded and provide emergency relief.

Governor Bose emphasized the importance of a coordinated effort between state and central authorities to mitigate the disaster's impact. "The central government is fully committed to supporting Kerala during this crisis, ensuring that relief materials, medical aid, and rehabilitation services are promptly delivered," he added.
