Parts of Madhya Pradesh Likely to Receive Rain Due to Impact of Cyclone Biparjoy
Bhopal ,june 16:Parts of Madhya Pradesh are likely to receive rain due to the impact of Cyclone Biparjoy, which is currently over the Arabian Sea. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain in some parts of the state from June 16 to 18.
The IMD has also warned of strong winds and high tides in coastal areas of Madhya Pradesh. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
Cyclone Biparjoy is expected to weaken into a depression by June 17 and move towards Gujarat. However, the IMD has said that its impact will be felt in Madhya Pradesh as well.
The state government has already put in place a disaster management plan and is monitoring the situation closely.
