Mumbai (August 05,2023) : The opposition alliance India is likely to meet in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1 to discuss the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, and Manipur. The meeting is expected to be attended by leaders of the Congress, the Trinamool Congress, the Samajwadi Party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Janata Dal (United), and the Shiv Sena. The alliance is also expected to discuss the possibility of fielding a joint candidate against the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming presidential election.

The meeting comes at a time when the opposition is facing a tough challenge from the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.
