
Thursday, the Prime Minister changed his social media profile picture in commemoration of the operation, a move that was soon followed by several senior leaders including External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who also updated their profiles to mark the occasion. The coordinated gesture across top government leadership underscored the political and symbolic importance of the anniversary.
In a post on X, Modi recalled that during Operation Sindoor, India’s armed forces demonstrated “unmatched bravery, accuracy, and determination” while responding to a deadly attack on Indian civilians in Pahalgam. He stated that the operation delivered a decisive response to those responsible for the assault and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to defending its citizens against terrorism.
The Prime Minister further emphasized that Operation Sindoor reflected India’s firm stance against terrorism and its unwavering commitment to national security. He noted that the mission demonstrated the professionalism, preparedness, and coordinated strength of the country’s armed forces, highlighting the increasing integration and synergy between different branches of the military.
Modi, the operation also showcased growing unity within India’s defence establishment and reinforced the country’s ongoing push toward self-reliance in the defence sector.
