Nagpur (August 22,2023) : An IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Ranchi made an emergency landing at Nagpur airport on Monday evening after a passenger vomited blood. The flight, 6E 5093, was carrying 186 passengers and crew. It landed safely at Nagpur airport at around 8:30 PM. The passenger, identified as Devanand Tiwari, was a 62-year-old man who was suffering from chronic kidney disease and tuberculosis. He was taken to a hospital in Nagpur, where he is being treated.

The cause of the passenger's illness is not yet known. However, it is possible that it was triggered by the stress of flying. The flight was delayed by about two hours due to the emergency landing. The passengers were provided with refreshments and were accommodated in hotels overnight. The flight eventually departed for Ranchi on Tuesday morning. The incident is being investigated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

In a statement, IndiGo said, "The safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance to us. We are providing all possible assistance to the passenger and his family." The incident has raised concerns about the safety of air travel. However, it is important to note that emergency landings are rare and that most flights are safe. If you are ever on a flight and a passenger becomes ill, it is important to inform the crew immediately. The crew will be able to assess the situation and take appropriate action.
