IIE DIGTAL: After reportedly using Sonam Wangchuk as the face of its first phase of agitation, the ‘Cockroach’ group is now said to be gearing up for its next move, this time focusing on farmers’ grievances. The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is allegedly looking to channel growing discontent among farmers into a fresh campaign against the Narendra Modi government.
In a development that has raised eyebrows, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka met farmer leader Rakesh Tikait on Tuesday. Following the reported closed-door meeting, Ranka struck a defiant note, declaring, “We will surround the Narendra Modi government from all sides.” The meeting has sparked speculation over whether the CJP is attempting to build a new political strategy by positioning itself alongside the farmers’ movement.
