The study indicates that the air in this picturesque hill town is heavily laden with PM10 pollutants, posing a significant threat to the local environment and public health.

According to the research, the concentration of PM10 particles in Darjeeling's air has reached alarming levels, crossing the safe limits defined by environmental standards. PM10 refers to particulate matter with a diameter of 10 micrometers or less, which can easily be inhaled and cause adverse health effects.
