IIE Digital Desk: Suvendu Adhikari, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, has accused "foreign-funded Jamatis" of causing the violence that occurred during the NEET paper leak protest at Kolkata's Esplanade, asserting that no real students or NET aspirants were involved in the attacks on police officers or journalists.

On Sunday, Adhikari characterized the clashes as a "pre-planned conspiracy" orchestrated by radical elements who infiltrated formerly peaceful student demonstrations. The Chief Minister stated that the protest against the alleged NEET paper leak was orchestrated by outsiders with the intention of stirring up controversy.

He asserted that the violence did not involve any participation from the protesting students or members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). He asserted that the student-led movement was intentionally incited by foreign-funded extremist groups to disrupt law and order and tarnishe its image. The protest was organized in central Kolkata to demand fair investigation into allegations of NEET paper leak and to petition for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, rather than being provoken by the incident. Violent confrontations between protesters and police at Dorina Crossing on Esplanade caused tension to escalate. The authorities retaliated by throwing bottles, footwear, and other objects at security personnel with batons and tear gas. This was made possible. Several journalists who were covering the demonstration also sustained injuries in the chaos.

Earlier, Adhikari informed the Assembly that approximately 70 people connected to the violence had been identified. Many of them were, he said, not students and they are not associated with NEET protest. ". The state government has initiated legal action against the accused, using strict measures like the Goonda Act. This is in addition to other similar incidents.

In line with the government's unwavering commitment to uncovering all evidence of the alleged examination paper leak, the Chief Minister stated that an extensive investigation would be conducted. Additionally, he cautioned that anyone who exploits student movements for political or anti-national reasons would be subject to severe consequences. Adhikari's comments have given the controversy a new political dimension by devoting attention to those responsible for the supposed examination irregularities. With ongoing investigations, it is anticipated that law enforcement will step in to identify all those implicated while ensuring accountability for both the disorder and the suspected NEET paper leak.
