Kolkata (August 16,2023): The Dum Dum Police recovered the body of an unidentified man near Belgharia Expressway on Wednesday morning. The body was found in a ditch by a passerby, who alerted the police. The police said that the man was in his early 30s and had been strangled to death. There were no identification documents on the body. The police are investigating the matter and have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.

This is the second such incident in the area in the past two months. In June, the body of a 25-year-old woman was found in a similar condition near Belgharia Expressway. The police are yet to make any arrests in that case.

The Dum Dum Police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information that could help in the investigation. They have also warned people against taking shortcuts through isolated areas, especially at night.
