During the weekend, the Thakurpukur police station in the Bachar Para area witnessed a terrifying incident, leading to three people being taken into custody. The authorities were on the scene. According to senior police officials, Tinku was known to the survivor before she became aware of her. The woman had visited Tinku's home on Saturday evening, without realizing the terrifying fall that was expected during the late-night hours. Things took a dark turn when Tinku purportedly began sexually assaulting her in the early hours of Sunday. As per the statement given by a survivor, Tinku's two accomplices Koushik and Babai came to the house in the early hours of Monday morning so that they could help with the murder. Although the rape allegations center on Tinku, Koushik is charged with stripping and sexually assaulting the victim. Despite being terrified, the terrified victim was still kept inside with her mobile phone to prevent them from calling family or seeking urgent emergency assistance, which only served to further complicate the situation.

In a moment of sheer courage, the survivor managed to flee from the Bachar Para household on Sunday morning, after experiencing horrific ordeal. Feeling shattered and deeply hurt, she initially ran to the Netaji Nagar police station. Due to her overwhelming fear, she was unable to discuss the assault and only reported that it had occurred after her cell phone went missing. Additionally, Despite the circumstances, the police officers' sensitive and thorough questioning provided a secure environment for the woman to speak and recount the horrific details of the sexual assault and detention. The Netaji Nagar police quickly coordinated reassurance with the Thakurpukur police station after she realized the gravity and precise location of such an incident. Tinku, Koushik and Babai were arrested after a targeted raid by specialised police. After removing the stolen mobile phone, officers were also able to recover it at their location. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered by the police against multiple sworn sections of the Bharatiye Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), with provisions for rape, molestation, and criminal intimidation.

The investigators are conducting rigorous questioning of the trio to establish the exact purpose of their coordinated attack and reconstruct the timeline of events. To gather necessary physical evidence for prosecution, the police have initiated forensic investigations and mandatory medical tests.
