IIE Digital Desk : Bangladeshi students studying in India are increasingly anxious about their homeland. Students like those at Jadavpur University and the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda are deeply worried, staying in constant touch with their families for updates. One Jadavpur University student recounted how her family in Faridpur faced intimidation from a bike gang, leading to sleepless nights. Another student from Baroda, Shere Ali, described how supporters of the Awami League, including his family, are targeted.

Despite their distress, many students remain hopeful. Reports from Dhaka suggest that local communities are rallying to protect vulnerable areas, with students playing a crucial role in maintaining vigilance. This solidarity provides a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos, illustrating the resilience of the Bangladeshi people even in the face of severe adversity.
