Kolkata (August 22,2023) : At least 40 teachers appeared in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Kolkata on Tuesday in connection with the alleged posting scam in the state education department. The teachers were summoned by the CBI for questioning. The scam is related to the appointment of teachers in government schools in West Bengal. The CBI has alleged that some teachers were appointed in violation of the rules. The teachers who appeared in the CBI office on Tuesday denied any wrongdoing.

They said that they were appointed through a fair process and that they had all the required qualifications. The CBI is expected to question the teachers about their qualifications, their appointment process, and their knowledge of the scam. The CBI has been investigating the posting scam for several months. The agency has already arrested several people, including a former minister in the West Bengal government. The scam is alleged to have caused a loss of crores of rupees to the state exchequer. The CBI is expected to continue its investigation and to question more people in the coming days.
