IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Washington, October 3: US President Donald Trump has launched a strong attack on Democrats over inflation and international geopolitics while making major remarks about the ongoing conflict involving Iran. Trump claimed that his administration's measures were helping bring prices under control in the United States and said that crude oil prices in the international market would fall sharply as soon as the conflict with Iran comes to an end.

Speaking about the economic situation in the United States, Trump accused the Democrats of having created severe inflation and claimed that his administration had succeeded in bringing down the prices of essential goods after returning to power.

“Affordable prices, that is a term created by the Democrats. They were responsible for the worst inflation in the history of our country and created tremendous problems. But we came into office and have been bringing the prices of things down significantly,” Trump said.

Trump also spoke about the ongoing conflict with Iran and suggested that the war could come to an end soon. He reiterated his opposition to Iran developing nuclear weapons and issued a strong warning to Tehran.

“When this war is over, the number one thing is that Iran will never be able to build a nuclear weapon. Because they are crazy. This should have been done many years ago by other presidents or by other countries,” Trump said.

Trump's comments come amid continuing uncertainty in global energy markets linked to the conflict. Oil prices have remained elevated as geopolitical tensions and concerns over supply disruptions continue to affect the market. Reuters reported that Brent crude had recently climbed above $100 a barrel amid stalled US-Iran talks and tighter fuel markets.

At the same time, international efforts have continued to ease pressure on energy markets. The G7 countries announced plans to release 100 million barrels of crude oil and refined fuel from emergency reserves in response to surging fuel prices linked to the Iran conflict.

Trump has repeatedly linked the eventual end of the Iran conflict with lower energy prices. In recent remarks, he said the war would end soon and predicted a sharp decline in oil prices once the fighting stops.

The situation remains closely watched by governments and energy markets around the world as diplomatic efforts continue alongside the conflict. The future course of the war, negotiations between Washington and Tehran and the security situation across the Middle East are expected to remain key factors influencing global oil prices in the coming days.
