According to Imran, the film is currently in post-production and will be released on Netflix later this year, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter India. The performer referred to the plot as a "grown-up romantic comedy," and stated that it mirrors his current stage of life, saying it is "appropriate for my age.

Gurfateh Pirzada, along with Bhumi Pednekar, is the star of the film, which is directed by Danish Aslam, who previously worked with Imran on the 2010 romantic comedy Break Ke Baad. According to Imran, he had to create Adhure Hum Adhurie Tum after spending a decade in obscurity. The actor suggested that the movie deviates from the character's youthful appearance and highlights his time away from mainstream cinema. It delves into mature relationships and life experiences, aligning with his personal and professional growth, rather than the opposite.

Imran's return to the screen has been highly anticipated, making it a major event.
