IIE DIGITAL DESK : Akshay Kumar has taken a surprise detour into full-on Bhojpuri style with the latest song from Welcome to the Jungle, and the internet is talking about it. The track, titled “Ghis Ghis Ghis,” has been released by the makers of the film and features Akshay Kumar alongside Akshara Singh, with fans calling it a bold and entertaining crossover moment.

The song is penned by Abhinav Shekhar and sung by Vikram Montrose and Supriya Pathak in an energetic Bhojpuri-inspired style. In the visuals, Akshay appears in a sleeveless khadi kurta, dhoti and a signature Bihari gamcha, fully embracing the earthy look and massy mood of the track. The video also includes Paresh Rawal, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Jacqueline Fernandez and Johnny Lever, adding to its comic and over-the-top flavour. 

The song opens with a humorous exchange and quickly sets a playful tone, while Jacqueline Fernandez adds another highlight with a cheeky line about Bhojpuri being better than Hollywood. The makers introduced the song as a “Gen Z banger,” and the response online has been enthusiastic, with many viewers praising Akshay’s expressions, comedy timing and return to his older, crowd-pleasing style. Some fans also said the song could easily become a wedding and party favourite.

Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Welcome to the Jungle is scheduled to release in theatres on June 26. With its mix of humour, dance, regional flavour and star power, the new song has already helped the film build fresh buzz ahead of its release.
