TMC Youth President Saayoni Ghosh to Resume Panchayat Election Campaign After 6-Day ED Summon
West Bengal (July 04,2023) : TMC Youth President Saayoni Ghosh will resume her panchayat election campaign on Tuesday, after a six-day hiatus following her summons by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Ghosh, who is also an actress, was summoned by the ED on June 28 in connection with a money laundering case. She appeared before the agency on June 29 and 30, and was granted bail on July 1.
Ghosh's return to the campaign trail is a boost for the TMC, which is facing a tough challenge from the BJP in the upcoming panchayat elections. The TMC is hoping that Ghosh's popularity will help them to retain control of the panchayats, which are the grassroots level of government in West Bengal.
