Bombs Recovered Again in Sagardighi, Panic Spreads
IIE DIGITAL DESK : Murshidabad, June 4: Once again, bombs have been recovered from Sagardighi in Murshidabad, creating panic across the area. The incident took place late on Wednesday night when locals spotted a bag containing bombs lying near a small waterbody in the Monigram Shekpara area of Sagardighi.
After receiving information, police from Sagardighi police station rushed to the spot. Upon inspection, they recovered 10 live bombs from the bag. The bomb squad has also been informed and is expected to carry out further investigation and disposal of the explosives.
Residents noticed the suspicious bag near the pond-like waterbody late at night and immediately alerted the police. Officers reached the location soon after and recovered the bombs safely from the site.
The repeated recovery of bombs in the area has triggered widespread concern and fear among local residents, while police have intensified vigilance in the region to prevent any untoward incident.
