Simple Energy Commences Deliveries of Simple One Electric Scooter, 1.5 Years After Unveiling

IIE Digital Desk : Simple Energy has officially commenced the delivery of its inaugural electric scooter, the Simple One, starting today. The company celebrated its first delivery day in Bengaluru, its hometown, where it handed over 15 units of the premium electric scooter to their excited owners. Last month, Simple Energy unveiled the production-ready version of the electric scooter, which had initially been showcased in 2021. Notably, the Simple One boasts the largest battery pack among electric scooters, resulting in an impressive IDC-certified range of 212km per charge. This remarkable range sets a new benchmark in the industry and highlights the scooter's exceptional capabilities.

Simple One electric scooter price in India

The highly anticipated Simple One electric scooter has been launched in India with an attractive starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The top variant of the scooter comes at a slightly higher price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to the standard offerings, the company has announced an optional 750W fast charger exclusively for the top variant. Starting from September 2023, customers can purchase this optional accessory for Rs 13,000. This fast charger will provide an efficient and convenient charging solution for Simple One owners, further enhancing the overall ownership experience of the electric scooter.

Simple One electric scooter specifications

Electric motor: 8.5kW peak power output and 4.5kW nominal output. 72Nm peak torque output.

Battery pack: One fixed 3.3kW battery pack in the floorboard and an additional removable battery pack under the seat. The total capacity of 5kWh.

Range: 212km of IDC-certified range

Charging: Zero to 80 percent in 5 hr 54 min. Fast charging at 1.5km/min up to 80 percent.

Fast charging support: Yes

Performance: Zero to 40kmph in 2.77 seconds and a top speed of 105kmph.

Features:7-inch TFT dash with Bluetooth pairing, music controls, navigation, riding modes, LED lighting and riding modes.

Colour: Black, Red, Blue and White. Buyers can also choose from two dual-tone colours – white and black. This can be kitted with red alloy wheels and highlights.
