IIR DIGITAL DESK : The bold move to expand its budget‑friendly Narzo series, Realme today unveiled the Narzo 80 Lite 5G in India—a smartphone that boldly challenges expectations by combining top-tier specs, rugged durability, and an everyday price tag.

Announced on June 16, 2025, the Narzo 80 Lite 5G is set to hit virtual shelves on June 23 via Amazon India and Realme’s own website . The base model (4 GB + 128 GB) is priced at ₹10,499, and the higher-end (6 GB + 128 GB) version at ₹11,499. However, to boost its initial appeal, Realme is offering introductory discounts: ₹500 off the 4 GB model, bringing it to ₹9,999, and ₹700 off the 6 GB, resulting in an effective price of ₹10,799

Despite packing a heavyweight 6,000 mAh battery, the device maintains a slender 7.94 mm profile and weighs in at 197 g. Offered in Crystal Purple and Onyx Black, it sports a sleek, modern aesthetic with slim bezels and a centrally punched hole-punch camera .

True to its “Lite” branding, this model doesn’t skimp on toughness. Featuring an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance and MIL‑STD‑810H military-grade shock certification, the ArmorShell Tough Build can endure drops from up to 2 meters. Additionally, its Rainwater Smart Touch ensures reliable touchscreen operation even in wet conditions .

A highlight of the Narzo 80 Lite 5G is its 6.67‑inch HD+ LCD, which sports a 120 Hz refresh rate (with adaptive settings down to 50 Hz) and ultra-responsive touch sampling up to 240 Hz and brightness reaching 625 nits—features usually reserved for premium phones.

Powering the experience is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, housed in a 6 nm architecture. Buyers can choose between 4 GB or 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, supplemented by up to 12 GB of virtual RAM, and 64 GB or 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via microSD up to 2 TB

The phone is shipped with Android 15–based Realme UI 6.0 and features Google Gemini integration for intuitive voice assistance.

The Narzo 80 Lite 5G sports a 32 MP GalaxyCore GC32E2 rear camera paired with a secondary depth sensor, enhanced by Realme’s AI Clear Face portrait mode . Up front, it hosts an 8 MP selfie camera within the punch-hole display design .

One of its defining features is the 6,000 mAh battery, a standout in this price bracket. Supporting 15 W fast charging, it also includes 5 W reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to charge other devices . According to Realme, the device delivers up to 15.7 hours of YouTube streaming or over 46 hours of call time on a single charge .

Beyond the highlight features, the smartphone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a classic 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB‑C port, dual-band Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, FM radio, and dual 5G SIM capability .

By blending a massive battery, 120 Hz display, rugged build, and 5G connectivity—all for under ₹11,000—Realme is positioning the Narzo 80 Lite 5G as a standout choice in the value segment. It clearly targets students, travelers, and practicality-focused users who demand longevity and performance without overpaying.

With its aggressive launch pricing, the Narzo 80 Lite 5G not only delivers on hardware but also reinforces Realme’s strategy of democratizing high-end features for budget-conscious consumers.
