New Delhi (July 12,2023) : The Yamuna River has breached all-time records, reaching a water level of 207.25 meters on Tuesday. This is the highest level the river has reached since 1978, and it has prompted flood warnings to be issued in Delhi.
The Delhi government has imposed Section 144 in flood-prone areas, which prohibits the assembly of more than four people. The government has also evacuated thousands of people from low-lying areas.
The water level in the Yamuna is expected to continue to rise in the coming days, and there is a risk of flooding in some parts of Delhi. The government is urging people to stay safe and to follow the instructions of the authorities.
