Maharashtra, July 18, 2024 — In a heartbreaking incident, 25-year-old Aanvi Kendar lost her life after falling into a gorge at the popular Kumbhe Waterfalls in Maharashtra. The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, casting a pall over the scenic tourist spot.

Aanvi, an avid traveler and nature enthusiast, was visiting Kumbhe Waterfalls with friends to enjoy the monsoon beauty. While attempting to take a photograph near the edge, she lost her footing and slipped into the deep gorge. Despite immediate rescue efforts by her friends and local authorities, Aanvi succumbed to her injuries.Local authorities, along with a team of professional rescuers, arrived promptly at the scene. However, the challenging terrain and heavy water flow made the rescue operation difficult. As soon as information about the incident was received the sahyadri wildlife conservation society and mangoan police officers reached the location along with the rescue forces superintentendent of police raiged somnath gharge said that the women was alive after falling into the george and was rescued however during the treatment she passed away.
