IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi, June 4: FIR has been registered under multiple sections in connection with the fire incident at a hotel-cum-restaurant in the national capital, Delhi. In addition, the co-owner of the hotel has been arrested by the police. The hotel manager, however, remains absconding, and Delhi Police is currently searching for him.

The devastating fire broke out on Wednesday at Hotel Flourish Stay in Malviya Nagar, Delhi, claiming the lives of 21 people. Following the incident, Delhi Police arrested hotel co-owner Lavkesh Bajaj in connection with the case.

Thursday, Delhi Police stated that an FIR has been registered at Malviya Nagar police station under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 105, 326(G), 324(5) related to deliberate harm to property or persons, Sections 125(A) and 125(B) concerning acts endangering life or safety and negligent conduct posing a threat to human life, and Section 287 dealing with negligence related to fire or flammable substances and unsafe handling of hazardous materials.

The arrest of co-owner Lavkesh Bajaj, Delhi Police has intensified its search operations across multiple locations to trace the absconding hotel manager.
