
The oath-taking event was attended by top national leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP national president J P Nadda, reflecting the political significance of the newly formed and expanded state cabinet.
The expansion marks a key step in consolidating the new government structure in Bihar, with both BJP and JD(U) representatives inducted into the ministry. The newly sworn-in ministers include Shravan Kumar, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Nishant Kumar, Leshi Singh, Ram Kripal Yadav, Nitish Mishra, Damodar Rawat, Sanjay Singh “Tiger”, Ashok Choudhary, Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, Arun Shankar Prasad, Madan Sahni, Santosh Kumar Suman, and Rama Nishad.
The ceremony at Gandhi Maidan drew large crowds and strong political attention, highlighting the importance of Bihar in national coalition politics. Leaders present at the event described the expansion as a step toward strengthening governance and accelerating development initiatives in the state.
The inclusion of senior and experienced leaders in the cabinet is expected to help the government balance administrative responsibilities across key departments, while also reinforcing political stability within the ruling alliance.
With the expanded council of ministers now in place, the Bihar government is expected to focus on governance priorities including infrastructure development, employment generation, and public welfare schemes, as it moves forward under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
