IIE digital desk: In a recent political clash, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav sharply countered Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's criticism of his uncle Shivpal Yadav. Adityanath had mocked Shivpal, implying he had been politically sidelined by Akhilesh.

Akhilesh responded forcefully during a party event, asserting that Adityanath's remarks were an attempt to divert attention from his own administration's failures. He accused the Chief Minister of using divisive tactics to undermine opposition unity. "The Chief Minister's comments are nothing more than a desperate ploy to shift focus from his government's shortcomings," Akhilesh declared.

He further accused Adityanath of failing to address critical issues facing the state, including economic hardships and governance challenges. Akhilesh emphasized that Shivpal Yadav remains a respected member of the SP and that their political differences should not overshadow the party's commitment to serving the public.

This exchange highlights the intensifying political rivalry in Uttar Pradesh as parties gear up for upcoming elections. Both leaders are set to continue their verbal sparring as they vie for public support.

What Akhilesh said? Responding to Adityanath, Akhilesh Yadav said"Maine dhoka nhi diya, unhone Delhi ko dhokha diya hai (I have not fooled anyone, they fooled). Unhone (Yogi) Delhi ko gaccha diya." SP leader Shivpal Yadav also attacked the chief minister over his remarks, saying,"Hamai gaccha nhi mila hai.
