7 Killed, 29 Injured in Bus Accident in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad (July 11,2023) : A bus carrying wedding guests plunged into a canal in Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam district on Monday night, killing seven people and injuring 29 others.
The accident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. near Darsi, when the bus was on its way from Podili to Kakinada. The bus was reportedly speeding when it tried to avoid a collision with an oncoming car. The driver lost control of the bus, which veered off the road and crashed into a guardrail before plunging into the canal.
Seven people, including a child, were killed in the accident. The injured were taken to Darsi and Ongole hospitals, where 15 of them are in critical condition. The police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
