SPECIAL CAMPAIGN TO POPULARISE 'AAMAR KOLKATA METRO' APP
IIE DIGITAL DESK : Kolkata, Date- 28.08.2025 : After the opening of the entire section of Green Line Corridor, huge passenger footfall has been noticed at various stations. In order to popularize “AAMAR KOLKATA METRO” app for smart booking of mobile QR tickets, Metro Railway, Kolkata has launched a special campaign from today for seven days, wherein seventy-two (72 Nos) cadets of Bharat Scouts & Guides of Eastern Railway have been helping and demonstrating the commuters about how to download the app through Google play store/ app store and how to book mobile QR tickets with the help of the app.
Overwhelming response of the commuters at various Metro stations, viz; Howrah, Sealdah, Salt Lake Sector V, Dum Dum and Esplanade has been noticed in this regard.
AAMAR KOLKATA METRO app is very helpful to avoid long queues at the booking counters and to save their valuable time and money. Passengers are requested to buy tickets through mobile app before reaching the stations and avail 5% discount on fare of each ticket.
