
Metro officials stated that the work was completed smoothly with active cooperation from the Government of West Bengal. The project had remained pending for a long time at the Chingrighata crossing due to various technical and logistical challenges.
To ensure safe execution of the operation, extensive security arrangements were put in place over two consecutive weekends. Authorities had planned traffic diversions and safety protocols in advance to carry out the heavy engineering work without disruption or risk to public movement.
The successful installation of the girder, traffic movement along the EM Bypass was restored to normal well before the scheduled reopening time. Vehicle movement in the area resumed smoothly after the temporary restrictions were lifted early in the morning.
Metro authorities highlighted that the coordination between multiple agencies helped in completing the work efficiently and ahead of time, ensuring minimal inconvenience to commuters and local residents. The completion is expected to further support the progress of metro connectivity projects in the city.
