Gautam Adani Shares Message After Offering Prayers at Kalighat Temple
IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Kolkata, September 24: Industrialist Gautam Adani visited the historic Kalighat Temple in Kolkata on Thursday and offered prayers to Goddess Kali. Sharing his experience on X, Adani said that he and his wife Preeti Adani felt privileged to receive the blessings of Maa Kali during their visit to the revered shrine.
In his post, Adani described the temple visit as a deeply humbling and spiritual experience, particularly as heavy rain lashed Kolkata at the time. He said that with a sense of gratitude, they prayed for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Bengal and sought the blessings of Goddess Kali for their journey ahead.
Adani further expressed his wish that the strength of Maa Kali would continue to guide their path and that her blessings would always remain upon Bengal. He concluded his message with the words, “Jai Maa Kali.”
The visit to Kalighat Temple came amid a packed schedule for Adani in Kolkata on Thursday. According to sources, the industrialist was scheduled to meet the Chief Minister and senior officials of the state government at Nabanna during the day. His programme also included a lunch at a courtesy venue, followed by an event organised by a chamber of commerce in Alipore.
The Kalighat visit added a spiritual dimension to Adani’s busy Kolkata itinerary. The temple, one of the city's most prominent religious landmarks, attracts devotees from across the country throughout the year. His message following the visit focused on prayers for the welfare and prosperity of Bengal and gratitude for the opportunity to seek the blessings of the deity.
Adani's post on social media also highlighted the contrast between the heavy rainfall in Kolkata and the solemn atmosphere of the temple visit. He described the moment as one of humility and gratitude while expressing his hopes for peace, prosperity and well-being across the state.
The industrialist’s Kolkata engagements on Thursday brought together religious, official and business commitments, with meetings with state authorities and participation in a business gathering forming part of his schedule. His visit to Kalighat Temple earlier in the day was followed by the other scheduled engagements in the city.
