IIE DIGITAL DESK :BJP MP and former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Ganguly has launched a scathing attack on the West Bengal government over the ongoing School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment scam, accusing it of betraying the trust of thousands of job aspirants. Speaking at a press briefing in Kolkata, Ganguly expressed deep concern over the way the recruitment process was allegedly manipulated, calling it a “betrayal of the youth of Bengal.”

Abhijit Ganguly, who recently entered politics and won the Lok Sabha seat from West Bengal on a BJP ticket, has been vocal about the irregularities in the SSC recruitment long before becoming a Member of Parliament. As a judge, he had earlier passed several strong orders demanding transparency in the recruitment process and justice for candidates who were unfairly denied appointments.

In his latest remarks, Ganguly said that the scam not only exposed corruption at the highest levels of the state’s education department but also revealed a deeply rooted nexus between political power and administrative manipulation. He accused the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) of shielding those responsible and delaying justice through bureaucratic roadblocks and legal loopholes.

He further claimed that many meritorious candidates remain unemployed while those with political connections or money managed to secure jobs illegally. Ganguly assured that the BJP will raise the issue in Parliament and press for a central investigation to ensure accountability.

The SSC scam has become a major political flashpoint in West Bengal, with protests by job seekers intensifying over the past year. Ganguly’s strong statements have added fresh momentum to the controversy, reigniting demands for speedy justice.
