Paris (July 14,2023) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Paris on Monday to attend Bastille Day celebrations. Bastille Day is the national day of France, and it commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, which was a key event in the French Revolution. Modi is the first Indian prime minister to be invited to attend Bastille Day celebrations as the chief guest. He will be accompanied by his wife, First Lady Savita Modi.
The prime minister will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday. The two leaders are expected to discuss a wide range of issues, including trade, investment, defense, and climate change. Modi will also meet with French business leaders and attend a business roundtable. He is expected to sign several agreements with France to boost economic cooperation between the two countries.
