IIE Digital Desk : Dahi puri has been named the worst Indian street food, according to a recent survey. The survey, conducted by food delivery platform Zomato, polled over 10,000 people across India. Dahi puri is a popular snack made of a hollow Puri filled with yogurt, mashed potatoes, chutneys, and sev. It is often served with a dash of lemon juice . 

The survey found that 23% of respondents found dahi puri to be the worst Indian street food. The other foods that made it to the top five worst Indian street foods are:

Pani puri (19%)

Ragda pattice (17%)

Samosa (16%)

Golgappa (14%)

Bhel puri (13%)

The survey also found that the most popular Indian street food is pav bhaji (32%), followed by vada pav (28%) and chole bhature (26%).

The results of the survey have sparked a debate on social media, with many people expressing their disagreement with the findings. Some people argued that dahi puri is a delicious and refreshing snack, while others said that it is unhealthy and unhygienic. Ultimately, whether or not dahi puri is the worst Indian street food is a matter of personal opinion. However, the survey results do provide some insights into the preferences of Indian consumers.
