Family Feud Turns Violent: Two Arrested for Scalding Relative in Hooghly
IIE Digital Desk : In a shocking incident in Hooghly's Konnagar, two men were arrested for assaulting a young woman over a property dispute. On August 2, the woman, Aishwarya Adak, was scalded with hot water allegedly by her minor cousin, causing severe burns. Her father, Pranab Kumar Adak, accused his sister and brother-in-law of orchestrating the attack to evict them from their ancestral home. The police have arrested the minor and his father, Dipankar Maitra. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital, and the investigation is ongoing.
