IIE DIGITAL DESK : Siliguri, May 19: The recent political changes in West Bengal, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will visit North Bengal for the first time. On Wednesday, he is scheduled to arrive in Siliguri and hold a high-profile administrative meeting at Uttar Kanya.

Senior and mid-level officials from various districts of North Bengal will attend the meeting. The agenda will primarily focus on reviewing the current law and order situation in the region, assessing the progress of ongoing state government projects, and formulating plans for regional development. Various other critical issues concerning administration and governance in North Bengal are also expected to be discussed in detail.

The Chief Minister’s visit, security measures and arrangements at Uttar Kanya and its surrounding areas have been intensified. The entire Uttar Kanya premises is being decorated with banners, flex boards, and festoons. Security officials have cordoned off the area and are inspecting every corner to ensure safety. Several top BJP leaders also visited Uttar Kanya on Tuesday to review the arrangements.

Political analysts suggest that this first administrative meeting in North Bengal will be highly significant in accelerating regional development and strengthening administrative efficiency under Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s leadership.
