IIE DIGITAL DESK : Brasília, May 19: Brazil’s men’s national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti announced the squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup on Monday.

Neymar Jr., who has not represented Brazil since 2023, is making a return to the national team as he prepares for his fourth World Cup appearance. Neymar is Brazil’s all-time top scorer in international football, with 79 goals in 128 matches.

Fans erupted in celebration at the announcement, held at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, as Neymar’s inclusion in the squad was confirmed by Ancelotti.

Brazil has been drawn into the same group as Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland for the tournament, which will be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Brazil will begin their World Cup campaign on June 13 against Morocco.
