IIE Digital Desk: Substitute Joselu scored a late winner to send Spain into the Nations League final with a 2-1 victory over Italy on Thursday.

The match was evenly poised at 1-1 after 90 minutes, with Ferran Torres cancelling out Lorenzo Pellegrini's opener. But Joselu struck in the 88th minute to send Spain through to the final, where they will face either Portugal or the Netherlands.

It was a deserved victory for Spain, who dominated possession and created the better chances throughout the match. They were also unlucky not to score more goals, with Alvaro Morata hitting the post in the first half and Torres having a goal disallowed for offside in the second half.

But Spain will not care about those missed chances now, as they are through to the final of the Nations League for the first time. They will be hoping to win the competition for the first time as well, and they will be confident of doing so after their performance against Italy.

Spain will face the winner of the Portugal vs Netherlands semi-final in the final, which will be played on June 10.
